About me

My name is Joyce van der Heide, interior stylist and owner of joyathomestyling.nl.

I love to create warm and timeless designs, whereby I try to fit in your personal items such that they get a place worthy of the value that these items represent to you. That way you craft a home in which you can feel comfortable and at peace, whilst at the same time making a statement about your personality by telling your story. To achieve this, I love to listen to your story to find out what is important to you, so I can express this into the style and design, whilst at the same time using my insights into contemporary and warm interior designs. I focus specifically on expatriates that want to craft a "home away from home".

My personal story... I am married to Richard and proud parent to two beautiful daughters. Interest in interior design runs through my veins. As a young girl, I already helped out in the interior business of my parents, which I loved. In the last 25 years, I have lived with my family in 6 different countries, moving houses more than 17 times. Crafting my "home away from home" was a lovely challenge each time and I have learned how to express my life story in my designs, giving a place to the personal items that we have collected on the way. The various countries and cultures have been an endless source of inspiration and joy. During this time, I have also completed my formative training as an interior stylist.
